Who can fly missions with BluWing?
To fly with BluWing, you must be a certified Part 135 pilot or fly under an approved operator’s Part 135 certificate. We vet all pilots for compliance,
safety record, and flight experience.
Do I need my own aircraft?
Not necessarily. You can fly your own aircraft if it meets FAA and BluWing safety standards. We also partner pilots with aircraft
owners or operators as needed.
Can I choose when and where I fly?
Yes. BluWing is built for flexibility. You can select missions based on your availability, aircraft type, and preferred region.
How do I get paid?
Pilots are paid per mission, with same-day payouts available through the platform once the delivery is confirmed.
Am I covered by BluGuard insurance when I fly?
If you’re flying a BluWing mission under a Part 135 operator, you’re automatically covered by BluGuard’s mission-based insurance, which includes pilot liability and cargo coverage. You can also purchase additional coverage if needed.
Can student pilots or Part 91 pilots participate?
No. Only Part 135-certified pilots (or those flying under a certified Part 135 operator) are eligible. This ensures all flights comply
with FAA commercial regulations.
Do I have to fly full-time?
Not at all. BluWing supports part-time, contract, and full-time flyers. Whether you’re filling in between jobs or building hours, you can choose missions that fit your schedule.
What kind of cargo will I be transporting?
Cargo includes time-sensitive packages, lab specimens, medical supplies, and e-commerce freight. All shipments are FAA-compliant and sized to fit small aircraft ULDs.
How does dispatching work?
You’ll receive mission offers through the pilot dashboard, including route, cargo type, aircraft requirements, and pay. Accept the mission,
